Buying mlm leads and phone prospecting is not the best way to market, is not the best way to duplicate and is not the best use of your time. Choosing this difficult route to success is I believe suicide and for the majority it is.
When I was new to the business, I actually believed the methods being taught by the ‘leaders’, that buying network marketing leads was an effective and cost effective way to grow your mlm business and that this was being taught out to tens, hundreds or thousands of other networkers. In reality using these methods business growth never happens.
There is another common belief that seems to have taken hold, that “well these techniques we know to be pretty ineffective but nonetheless if we get a lot of people achieving a little at least some us can earn a reasonable income out of this clown.In reality however it is often individuals trying to do a lot with defunct, out-dated and more often than not very expensive techniques that is the cause of the problem, no wonder there’s an incredibly low retention in network marketing.
You see really most of the ‘old school leaders’ are often times ignorant themselves to these ‘new’ effective marketing techniques, for the most part it really has been a bunch of amateurs that know nothing about marketing teaching a bunch of amateurs who know nothing about marketing.
I believe this ‘old school’ approach is irresponsible, it is not in their best interests or for the industry as a whole in the long term, to carry on ‘teaching’ out of ineffective, costly and very poor performing methods.
What’s the answer? It is a mistake to buy mlm leads, flatly ignore anyone who tells you that this is what you need to do to build your business, it’s very expensive and will cost you hundreds of wasted hours on the phone. The primary goal of your business should be to get into profit as fast as possible, not to get into debt as fast as possible.
So if you implement the method of article marketing I described on day one and include another simple to implement marketing strategy, that of forum marketing, which I will briefly outline.
You need to register with some quality forums, you need to read the forum rules, you need to ascertain whether you can add a signature to your forum posts, this gives you the ability to passively promote within the forum, creating a well written, catchy signature will attract clicks and drive traffic to your lead capture page.
Try to put something interesting into your signature, something of your target audience and of genuine value or newsworthy in some way. Again you could take many news headlines in traditional print media and rework them to meet your own requirements… e.g. “10 Tips that will… learn more here”, 7 Tips to… read more here”, (with links to your web-site, blog or lead capture page)… etc.
When you have created your editorial style catchline in your forum signature, it’s time to enter the conversation, all you need to do is genuinely contribute to the overall discussion by providing solutions to other members. Don’t directly promote your business, the likelihood is that you’ll get flamed, essentially ticked off by the community, you may even be expelled for breaking forum rules.
